Biography
I am a PhD researcher in Civil Engineering at HKUST, supervised by Prof. Xiao PAN. My research focuses on developing AI-driven computer vision and point-cloud frameworks for autonomous structural health monitoring.
I received my MSc in Earthquake Engineering from the University of Tehran, where my thesis integrated deep learning and image processing for concrete surface damage detection. My research interests span civil engineering, AI, and robotics, including structural health monitoring, non-destructive testing, smart infrastructure, and computer vision.
Before joining HKUST, I served as a Research Assistant at the University of Tehran, where I developed preprocessing algorithms and annotated datasets for concrete image analysis. I have authored peer-reviewed journal articles and books, served as a reviewer for high-impact journals, and received the HKUST RedBird PhD Recruitment Award.
